Helen is the Chief Administration Officer of Bison Transport USA. Previously she had a 25-year tenure with Canada Life ( formerly Great West Life), where she took on progressively senior positions, including Chief Internal Auditor (Global), Chief Human Resource Officer (Canada) and retired as Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer (Canada).  She co-chairs the board of Shock Trauma Air Rescue Services ( STARS), Chairs the Audit Committee of Manitoba Blue Cross and has been involved in a variety of other not-for profit committees and boards.

In 2009 the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba recognized Helen with its Community Service Award and in 2022 they awarded her the designation FCPA (Fellow CPA).  In 2024 Helen attained her Institute of Corporate Directors Designation ( ICD.D.)
