Women’s Enterprise Skills Training of Windsor Inc. (WEST of Windsor) provides support to women in Windsor-Essex County to aid them in achieving their goals through acquiring employment, training, and skill development, plus aiding newcomers and immigrants with their settlement into the community. The focus is to provide training for severely employment disadvantaged visible minority women in order to improve their employability in the workforce and/or further their education.

In 2019, GROW funded the upgrading of the West of Windsor child care facility. This 40-space facility benefits children 6 months to 6 years while mothers attend training programs. The facility has licensed professionals but suffered from a lack of resources, including appliances, flooring, toys, and new computers. (Ontario)
