Following a thirteen year career in investment management with Dominion Securities and various VP roles in TAL Investment Management, and following a decade of piano teaching, Lianne has been focused on “ giving back” and applying her leadership skills and corporate skills in a variety of philanthropic roles.

Always community-minded and education-oriented her volunteer participation includes a variety of organizations and roles: St James Music Academy in Downtown Eastside Vancouver- Board Chair and Board member; Arthritis Research Canada (ARC) - Co-chair Patient Advisory Board and ARC Board member; and Room to Read Canada providing literacy and supporting girls’ education in the third world.

With a passion for “excellence”, Lianne has focused on assisting the “marginalized”… be it in health, education, or community.

Lianne is a firm believer that directed resources and personal impact can better a life in meaningful ways and is thrilled to be joining GROW to leverage this impact.

Lianne also gives back by directing all proceeds from her artwork (artoflianne.com) and music (Lianne G on Spotify) to charities.

Based in Vancouver with roots in Ontario, Lianne holds a BA honours Economics from Queens University, an MBA from Schulich School of Business ( York) and a CFA designation.
